Contribution Guidelines

Please note that this project is released with a Contributor Code of Conduct. By participating in this project you agree to abide by its terms.

This contribution guidelines is modified from the awesome list guidelines.

Adding to the Cytodata Awesome list

Note that the embedded links provide instructions for each step.

  1. You will need a GitHub Account!
  2. Edit the readme.md file to include your addition. Editing the readme can be performed several ways:
  • Edit directly on GitHub
  • Fork or clone and edit using your favorite text editor
  1. File a pull request to incorporate your changes.

Filing a Pull Request

Ensure your pull request adheres to the following guidelines:

  • The resource is not already added.
  • The resource is placed in the proper section (e.g. software, publication, dataset).
  • The resource is added to the end of the list in the proper section.
  • The markdown style is consistent.

Updating your PR

A lot of times, making a PR adhere to the standards above can be difficult. If the maintainers notice anything that we'd like changed, we'll ask you to edit your PR before we merge it. There's no need to open a new PR, just edit the existing one. If you're not sure how to do that, here is a guide on the different ways you can update your PR so that we can merge it.
