redis_analytics hooks to application's layout file

Not sure, if redis_analytics is supposed to fetch the application's layout because that's what it's doing in my case, resulting in errors because it obviously cannot find variables and methods being used in my application layout file.

However, I tried a workaround using request.path and redis_analytics layout in my layout file (and I also had to include the redis_analytics header partial) to finally see the dashboard ... but it is blank! ... even after multiple requests to application.

Any help?

P.S. I did installed Redis and it is running.
