Using botpress 1.1.13 for french talk

Hi guys,

We are using the version 1.1.13 of botpress and rasa. When we try to talk in french the bot is sending a fallback (sorry i don't understand). Every time we have a special letter ( french as the é or the à). It seems there is a problem of encoding since those letter are transformed into "0x/e" like

Is there a way of changing the encodage? or the language?

Hi at_Anasse. It's hard to answer on your question because a lot of chages have done. Can you update botpress module? Current version is 10.25.0 . If you have problem with migration you can write to us)

Thank you for your answer i am currently trying to install the latest version. I have some issue making in it work with rasa. I have maybe a stupid question : in the documentation it is said that we have to change the environnment variable (NLU_PROVIDER). However where can i find this variable? On the botfile.js ? On the nlu.json? i am a little bit lost :(

at_dmytropanontko Hello and sorry to bother, i also have another problem.

Every time i launch the bot i got this error :

[botpress] ERR Error starting botpress: update "knex_migrations_lock" set "is_locked" = 1 - SQLITE_READONLY: attempt to write a readonly database undefined

And since i changed the nlu.json to take in account rasa, it won't be started

[UPDATE]

I succeeded in resolving my bugs. I installed the botpress-rasa_nlu module. It is detected by botpress when launched and is present in the middlewares. However, i had a rasa_train.json and i launched the rasa server then tried to modify the flow by adding rasa_nlu.intent:'greet' and i get this error :

DialogEngine: ERROR evaluating condition "rasa_nlu.intent === "greet"": rasa_nlu is not defined

So i just have to change the nlu.json :

at_Anasse iI recomended you to use luis nlu it's more stable nlu or native if you don't need entities. With rasa we have some problem which we will try to fix soon. Sorry by the inconvenience(

In fact at_dmytropanontko we are looking for a good open source nlu tools (using entities :( ). Luis is restricted to 10000 transaction / month.

Is Dialogflow a good alternative ?

Okay then, and what about my other question about botpress 1.1.13 and rasa_nlu ? we installed the botpress-rasa_nlu (i know you don't support it :( ) and it seemed working well right now.

The problem we had with this version is that we can't find the documentation of 1.1.13 because we wanted to change the langage of the bot (french) it does not accept french character ("à" and "é")
