The mechanism in place will show the calendar with the first alphabetical name when duplicate events are detected, and removes the following entries. At the moment we are interested in making this a future enhancement in DAKboard in an extended configuration field being proposed but do not have any timelines associated with this request yet at this time. We will be converting this request in the meantime to a Discussion for the purpose of gathering more understanding interest there is in the client base to gauge priority. |

Given the UI space constraints I can certainly understand how this feature could be beneficial. However, as a user, this product is meant as a display of my calendars as I set them up in outside sources...there really shouldn't be any force manipulation of the data. This really should be a configurable option, not the default. As a for instance, I have calendars for each of my three kids. If they all have soccer on the same day at the same time, I need to see that on my Dakboard. If it's consolidating and only showing the first calendar it hits (alphabetically), then I'm led to believe that only that kid has soccer that day (each event is simply labeled soccer). Suddenly my other kids are missing practice and games because our board simply combined them into one. That is just a simple example, but I can see this extending into schools, businesses, etc, where different calendars are color coded to show the differences but events on different calendars are on different calendars for a reason. |
