Compliments similar to Magic Mirror #1598

Has anyone come up with a way to have random phrases or compliments displayed on DakBoard using the existing blocks, but perhaps reading from a file on one of the supported platforms or possibly a local file on the Pi. I don't think scheduled text will work as I just want the message to randomly change every x minutes, and it would be tedious to enter the complements in via the UI. For context I was in the process of putting together a Magic Mirror for my daughter, when it become apparent that it was going to be difficult to have shared calendars and the look and feel across a DakBoard and a Magic Mirror, we eventually decided to just add a second DAKBoard screen and just keep the MM look. Its nearly done, but the only thing I can't emulate are the compliments. |

Hi @MartynWilliams, After reviewing this I was surprised to not see an RSS feed that we could recommend for this, I don't see any reason why we cannot set this up and include this in our "daily facts" setup currently in place since the content is easily sourced. I setup #1601 for us to implement this. |
