Better Button Improvements Proposal

I am set up to have 2 screens one displaying artwork, the other a calendar of events. To do so requires a button. I wish we had the ability to really make the button invisible as I don't want to see a button on the artwork screen. Just need to know where to tap on the screen. Possibly you can also add icons to the abilities that way we can choose one of those as our button?
