EM7511 no modem port

I have been struggling with a em7511, no matter the situation, i can't get the thing to work in a cradlepoint, only in mbim it works, and somehow connects over 3g sprint? i began to try different comp modes, in windows i was able to get mbim to connect properly, but never on the cradlepoint, the last command i entered was usbcomp=1,1,10D, which is mbim (the 1 for this modem) and 10D, which is qmi, and now i can't get a modem interface, i have tried linux, and when attempting to flash, there is no cdc-mdm or ttyUSB devices. in windows, the usbcomp=8 does nothing after scrubing my pc, it shows as com3/4 in windows as a wwan modem, and i see a snapdragon x16 in unable to start, I can get that to start, but is another com port that will not respond to key strokes. the other outputs zeros when i type. i can still flash firmware to it, but never opens the modem port, vid is 90b1, pid 90B0. any recommendations? thanks
