Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I think there will be many more people being affected by Docker's pressing campaign in ways like not receiving updates, being forced to setup other registries, struggling to decide which to choose. So I guess you will see little explicit appreciation here and just wanted to drop mine.

It's funny how Docker is offering free advertising in this issue of theirs, with a little support from info world. I'm actually more upset about other stuff they do and their general attitude towards their users - paying or not. The impact of their latest blunder will be felt just as strongly by their paying customers. I think that's the only good outcome of all of this.
