@red-bin and the triibe have foiaed hundreds of thousands of rule 45 committee reports. https://twitter.com/foiachap/status/1629168179799793666

these are reports that are required to be reported out of a committee meeting that give a summary of what happened and detail the outcome of any votes.

matt's FOIA goes back to 2010, which is basically when our data begins too.

it would be great to work with matt and the triibe to add links to the relevant docs in our meeting pages, and see we can get these reports moving forward.

@fgregg this is a great idea. Were you thinking of just linking straight to the source PDFs or doing OCR on their contents? The page you linked to looks pretty scrapabale and we could match to Councilmatic events based on Committee name and date.

i was thinking of linking to the pdf docs on document cloud. don’t see a lot of possibility for extracting structured data from them.

but we should talk to the triibe and matt first of all.
