We don't like scrape because we think that implies we are getting web pages and scraping data out of them, which we're not. Same goes for crawl. We are actually just making API requests.

So ideas on name?

Also note that we are likely to be including preprocessing of the raw API responses in this repo so, a name that does that too is best.
