Shell button not always available

I had three Mongo servers configured.
Two were the same server with different credentials.
When one of those did not show the "Shell" button when selecting a database while the others showed it.
After I lost my servers due to #260, I added them from scratch without copying.
Now on both newly created ones the shell button is not displayed.
This might be closely related to #255, because on the two newly added ones I got the same exception on first clicking on the database and then the shell button didn't ever show up for any of it.
Before the exception from #255 did only happen for the one where the shell button was not displayed.
