The caveat in the TILP readme should be updated to note that 83PCE/84+CE owners should not update to OS version 5.5/5.6.

Adding a warning about TI-eZ80 OS 5.5+ in the README is an interesting idea :)
It would be much more efficient to parse the OS file and unconditionally warn about an attempt to transfer OS 5.5+ through the TILP GUI. Modern versions of libtifiles even contain code to parse data in TI certificate format, used by TI's OS upgrades, FlashApps, developer certificates, certificate memory dumps, etc.
