Either sipb-nagios or the dehnerts.com install should be made to monitor the forwarder. This should probably verify at least three things:

  • Jabber (Gtalk) users can send and receive messages
  • We're subbed to zephyr
  • zcrypt'd messages are being sent successfully ("incorrectly encrypted" is probably out-of-scope, but "AFS broke so we can't read the key at all" should be in-scope

Plausibly this could involve zephyring to -c forwarder-monitor daemon/forwarder and verifying we get traffic to -c forwarder-crypt -O crypt and [email protected], or something to that effect.
