RDZWX-GO no connect to TTGO #17
Comments
What I have read about this so far is that the Pixel might have some restrictions regarding multicast. |
There is a test release that allows you to enter the IP address |
Hello Hansi, I installed the trial version and manually entered IP rdzsonde.local. The TTGO was found immediately. Thank you for providing the trial version. |
Another addendum. DHCP definitely doesn't work on the Google Pixel with the RDZ-WX app because DNS is set to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. This means that no device is found on a local network. If you assign a static IP, you can also enter the local DNS. This not only works with the TTGO IP, but also with name resolution. |
Hello, first of all, thank you very much for developing the software.
I use my iPhone with Thetering Hospot as the central network component.
The TTGO is connectet to the iPhone without any problems.
I configured the WiFi connection on the Pixel4a to a static IP address.
With Chrome I can find the TTGO with the IP, but unfortunately the rdzwx-go app cannot find the ttgo.
The same configuration works without any problems on a Xiaomi A2.
Both Android phones have Android 13 as the operating system.
Maybe it could be due to ipv6 in the DNS, which cannot be deactivated in Android.
Because the Xiaomi is no longer very good, I would like to use the Pixel 4a.
I would be happy if someone could help me find a solution.
With best regards Gert from Germany.
