PlantUML extension does not seem to work anymore

Good morning,

After upgrading from IntelliJ 2023.x.x to 2024.1.4, I cannot modify nor create Draw.io diagrams that contains plantUML fragments.

edit: after re-consideration, I updated to intelliJ 2024.x.x specifically because plantUML was not working anymore, and the update did not fix the issue.

When I try to modify an existing PlantUML sequence in a drawio file, I get an "Unknown Error" popup when clicking on the Apply button:

And I cannot to insert a new PlantUML fragment in a diagram anymore, the menu is not showing up:

Those two actions are still working well on the web application https://app.diagrams.net, but not in the IntelliJ plugin.

Also, nothing shows up in log file idea.log, but maybe the plugins logs are written somewhere else. Let me known.

interesting issue. I never used the plantuml feature. AFAIK, it uses the public plantuml server which is a no-go for company use.
Maybe that's the reason why this option has been removed as default?
