I think this awesome repo is very impressive. What you did with the Fiery Meter is absolutely amazing.

Is it possible for me to have a clean, "boiler plate" like, version of this repo so that I could use to create awesome lists of my own?

I think you should be able to just fork/tweak this repo which uses the Python package awesome-aws to suit your needs. It could probably use a pass or two to make it more generic, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to tackle this in the near future.
