How to run usbip on the client side, without installing the full usbipd package? #1116
-
The Readme says to install usbipd on the server side, and then just run usbip on the client. However it doesn't answer where the client (a Windows machine) should obtain that command/executable from (assuming the client & server are two different machines or VMs). Do I also need to install the full usbipd package on the client to get usbip? Can I run usbip on the client without having to install and run the server daemon? Thanks! |

Ok, I found #908, that pretty much answers it. There seems to be no solution without enabling test-signing, and the https://github.com/vadimgrn/usbip-win2?tab=readme-ov-file repo comes with a big "Is not ready for production use, can cause BSOD" warning. |
