Game crash when buying maps from trader (crash at full discovery)

I left the game running over night, had a ton of fur - trader came, bought a ton of scales. Now I had a metric ton of fur and scales again and the map trader came.
I bought maps until the game crashed and the browser window (chrome) did not respond anymore.
Upon reloading I "embarked" and all of the map was discovered.

Probably buying the map once everything was discovered caused the crash.

This happened to me too. Game also fails to go fullscreen.
