In other radar apps, they have a "precip depiction" or "winter weather radar" mode that (i think algorithmically) differentiates between mix/snow/rain.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think it'd be neat if SuperCell could implement something similar, as then it'd be a legit alternative to radarscope/omega

I would like to get this in this year. It will require model data, which will come with the addition of GRIB support. After that, I will need to generate a custom product.
@dpaulat I agree, I believe the NOA has downloadable weather history in the form of xml you could use to test as data, but that's just a suspicion. Alternatively, the default warnings provider, has an active warning for heavy snow which could be used as data. But I agree with with the need for a custom product.
