I wanted to know if Powered Dynamics could sponsor the work on the project. We would be willing to work something out if it meant development could be expedited. We very much need the updated Webkit and know an untold amount of community members need it as well. We understand that you have more pressing matters currently, but perhaps if we were able to compensate you, you would be able to dedicate more time to this.
Please let me know if we can work with you on this matter.
Thank You,
-John Louderback

@JohnLouderback Exciting to see! Are you also interested in sponsoring the general TideSDK project?

Matthew, at this time we are not currently interested in sponsoring the overall TideSDK project and would like to utilize what we're able to allocate specifically for the TideSDK lite project. We're currently waiting to hear back from Steve, but I'm personally very excited for what the future might hold.

Interesting. Both are pretty cool projects; I'm fascinated to see what will happen next. :-)

Alright, so I am still working on this. Here is what I am doing at the moment.

Because Windows Webkit is well, garbage. I am converting both Linux & Windows to CEF. I am leaving Apple with WebKit as that version is perfect, and that will allow for Mac apps in the App store, and Linux and Windows will have a fully featured rendering engine.

I should be done that in the next two weeks. At which time I will release a alpha for testing.

That's awesome.
It's CEF 1 or 3?

I know here is not the place, but... How do you see/relate to TideKit?

CEF3

I am currently the only "TideSDK" developer still doing stuff. There will be a limited amount of differences, but the main ones are the lack of "php/ruby/python" scripting languages. I am also getting rid of redundant modules eventually, but I think I'm going to keep them all in there and deprecate them. Things like Socket, which can be handled by things like websockets, and Media which can be handled by Audio/Video.

Any news on TideSDK lite? Very excited.

Any news to speak of? It's been a while. Any idea when we might get to see something?
