Amplify + Cloudfront CDN

Is there a way to use route caching with Cloudfront?

I have a Nuxt 3 app and would like to use SWR for all routes. The app is hosted with Amplify. When I activate the route cache it works but it is not played out via Cloudfront CDN.

If I use the routeRules from Nitro then it works fine.
