It does not work on CM14.1 (on a samsung galaxy S5).
Do you plan to support it in the near future?

filesystem permissions denies access to flip cover status file (easy to fix). more difficult is to handle the screen on actions (wakeup, overlay telephonie app, etc.). it's rudimentary in CM13.x too.
