utility functions like buffer encrypt/compression with crc check might be very useful!

I have been considering LZ4 compression because it can be integrated directly with the builder. StreamBuffers would be relevant in that context. However, it is not something for the near future.

For encrypted transport a closed source project is in development for high speed secure buffer messaging and more, but it is too early to say any more.
