how to put my custom plugins onto this project ?
how to backup my database after afterwards?
how to access the file and directories via FTP after deployment to heroku ?

Outside the scope of this project. Look into Heroku docs, if you're using Heroku.

You don't use FTP for Heroku. Read this link for more details: https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/dynos#ephemeral-filesystem
