When I try to display the palette I get the following error. How should I fix it? It looks like something is missing.

Which BIRT version have you used and which Java (JDK) have you used?

It is a error message of the Java-module handler and means that classes cannot loaded because the required module entry is missing to load all required classes.

I have looked at your files. Take a look at your java classpath. It contains c:\windows\sun early in the cp. This might cause your issue.

Please note that we have no report from other users about this. It is likely to be a local issue. Please check on another windows machine to see that it works normally.

All versions of BIRT since BIRT 4.9 requires JDK 11 or higher.
All versions of BIRT till BIRT 4.8 can be used with JDK 8.

It sounds that your designer will know work with the according JDK.

Hello, I have the same problem, but since macOS Ventura 13.5

I clarify that previously I was using Eclipse 2022-03 with BIRT 4.9, but after incorporating other libraries from the MarketPlace it became unstable and the palette section stopped working.

I tried to fresh install this and the problem persists. I have even tried the latest stable versions available to date with the same problem. I am currently using Eclipse 2023-06 with BIRT 4.13 on top of Oracle's JDK20

Could you please help me?

Have you tried eclipse 2023-06 with BIRT 4.14

https://download.eclipse.org/birt/updates/nightly/latest/index.html

Only problems in that version of BIRT can be fixed.
