validation of model of a thing through definition

I have created a thing with a definition by which thing model is created. The ditto version is 3.6.2. When I am doing
modification which is against the definition model, it shall throw validation error, but it is just accepting. I have checked the helm values.yaml, there all the validation are true.

Could you please share a reproducer of the Api calls which lead to this and the used model?
