I am an intensive user of the Web Templates Task Connector to connect with the SourceForge ticket tracker and would like to continue doing so. This Task Connector was part of the incubation repository and I can see that this repository has been archived now. Meanwhile I can keep the Web Templates Connector working by keeping the Mylyn components it depends on at version 3.25.2. In that way it still works well with Eclipse 2024-03, despite loosing the git integration.
Are there any plans to revive the Web Templates Task Connector? Or to develop another generic Task Connector that can be configured to connect with a REST API? Because SourceForge and many other issue tracking systems provide a REST interface.
Cheers,
Henk

The most straightforward way to see your favorite connector revived is to re-contribute it back to the Mylyn repository. The same answer applies to a generic Task Connector or whatever else Connector anyone need. Please have a look here if you plan to contribute.
Of cause there may be other options if you consider contracting others to do this for you.
