What type of interactions can I have between EclipseMosaic and OMNET++?

Hi guys!
I am studying the interaction between Eclipse Mosaic and the OMNET++ network simulator. I would like to know what can I do and what I can't.
I noticed OMNET++ can replace the SNS network simulator. So, using the same code I can use one of them (ns-3 either) to implement wireless transmission models. But I don't know if a can go beyond and implement another type of interactions or I just can use the OMNET++ to replace SNS in this mentioned way.

Can some one helps me?
