Project PLUM: Tropical Disease Detection Device

Overview

Welcome to the repository for Project PLUM, an interdisciplinary initiative developed at Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. This project aims to create a low-cost device for the detection of tropical diseases by analyzing temporal fluorescence imaging data

About the Software

This repository contains the software developed for the PLUM device, encompassing the user interface and the image analysis and processing components.

Installation and Usage

Before running the application, ensure that you have Python installed along with the packages listed in requirements.txt.

To run the application, execute the main.py file in src folder.

Configuration notes

-Adjust the parameters of the obtener_circulos function based on the images captured by the camera (param1, param2, minRadius, maxRadius). -The received images may need to be initially cropped or rotated as a preprocessing step for more accurate results.
