Tested with 3.4.3.855 of nuget.exe from nuget.org
When running with the minimal dummy project the following error message is shown Value cannot be null. Parameter name: projectFramework

To fix it fakeproject.csproj must be extended with this <Import Project="$(MSBuildToolsPath)\Microsoft.CSharp.targets" />
