I believe this project will see significant use when there are periods of heavy rain. It could be a really interesting and effective way to communicate with residents concerned about landslide risk.

  • Implement a way for users to submit questions.
  • Users should be able to designate questions as private or public; we can choose to share questions and answers that are marked public, but it won't be automatic.
  • These are long-term questions; clear that no questions will be answered about immediate risk; for immediate risk evacuate or call 911.
  • Blanket statement that this is informational, like all weather sources. There are no specific recommendations for when it's safe to stay in your home and when it is appropriate to evacuate.
  • Need emails to make this happen.
