Describe the feature:
It would be very nice to be able to switch from a given Visualization to Discover view with the equivalent filters staying in place.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:
Often I flip back and forth between a visualization and discover view for investigations. It would be very nice to not have to re-enter the filters each time or keep multiple tabs open.

Hi @emschorsch

There is a capability to "pin" filters with 1 click on your existing filter and it will be kept when you navigate to other apps.

I guess your request is to pre-save actual query in query input field, just want to mention the option in place.

Hi @elastic/kibana-data-discovery, @elastic/kibana-visualizations we think this falls in your domain, could you take a look?

Hmmm, I think what you describe can be achieved through Explore in Discover in Lens. Could you let us know if that's what you have in mind?

@dmlemeshko thank you for the pinning suggestion! That is a helpful workaround for now.

@eokoneyo @mbondyra I don't see an option for "Explore in Discover". But yes something like that is exactly what I had in mind. If not, the pinning suggestion also works (just an extra click).

@emschorsch It seems like you are running an older version of Kibana. Which version are you using ?

It's an old one, since Visualize library was called Visualize according to the screen
#91015

closing, now, since pinning works for @emschorsch ... upgrading would provide "Explore in Discover"
