About background workers

Hi, I've been looking at the MAS docs for a while now trying to find some information on the background workers, mainly:

• Do they respond to API requests? If so can you let me know which are the API requests that they can respond to?
• How do the HTTP server communicate with background workers?
• In a 3 node deployment, would each of the node run mas-cli server? or would only one node should run the HTTP server while the others only run the worker?
