Layperson's explanation for linking entries #247

I understand that if I wanted to add a typical "see also: lemma, lemma" bit to my entries, that would be accomplished through links. However, having read both the "gentle introduction" and the longer article about the site, as well as trying to understand the linking page in config, I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do to accomplish this.

If I'm correct and it would be done through links, I'd like to request a layperson's explanation (perhaps directly on the linking page) so I can use the feature. If it's done through a different setting, I'd love an explanation of that. If I'm completely wrong and there's no way to do this currently, I would be eternally grateful for such a feature!

Thank you for all your work :)

I’m also mystified by how this is supposed to work.

Not the same thing, but I‘ve added a text field formatted as a clickable cross-reference. This links to a search of headwords, so not a direct link as it includes entries where the text is part of the headword as well.
