I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but seeing as so many X-Wing app-related projectes use XWS...

What are you all doing about the J5K losing its 2 x Torpedo and 1 x Salvaged Astromech slot?

It's easy enough to change the ship profile but what happens with old squadrons that contain JumpMasters with torps or sa;vaged astromechs?

They were previously legal but aren't any more. Should the XWS spec allow them? See: https://github.com/elistevens/xws-spec#checking-should-also-be-implemented-by-the-app-importing-a-squadron

What about apps? How are you handling the change? Any ideas are more than welcome!

Cheers

Hello,

From my point of view the FAQ is king (don't know if it is the right american/english expression ;-) ).
So previously build using Torps ans salvaged astromeh for jumpmaster are "illegal".
I only hope that they will change the Punishing One title in order to bring back the slots for the jumpmaster.

But what do we do with these illegal squadrons?

For the time being they will not load in my builder, but perhaps I will do something to display them very basically with nothing to do except information to help the user to modify the build in order to make it legal.

They're going to be invalid/broken in YASB.

This is similar to when Deadeye was errata'd; some lists became invalid, and I didn't think we really needed to handle backward compatibility there.
