Replace gui and patching system with something else, e.g:

Qt
Python
Javascript / HTML
.NET

Ideally we want an environment which supports:

Cross-platform
Deep integration with oF
Replace all standard UI elements with something from that framework + non-standard OpenGL UI elements can be fluidly introduced
Scripting at runtime
Edit and continue possibilities
Dynamic linking handled better than it is now
