eln-cache is still outside var directory. Even with early-init.el

Reading from both:

• gccemacs makes eln-cache directory in user-emacs-directory #148
• https://github.com/emacscollective/no-littering/wiki/Setting-gccemacs'-eln-cache

The eln-cache in my end is still outside the var directory.

I tried to put foo function in the early-init.el, to ensure that Emacs load it. It loaded. i can access M-x foo after Emacs started.
I have no clue why the setcar comp-eln-load-path didn't work.

I noticed that too but decided I didn't want to deal with it anytime soon. If you figure it out, then please let me know how you got it to work. Maybe ask on emacs-devel.

Since earlier today it works again. Update Emacs and see Native compilation cache.
