these versions are too standby it is necessary for ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04

ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 are too old and are no longer even available for installation, expensive for most hosts

only unreliable hosts continue to provide them

I remind you that the LTS versions are available 9 months before their release date precisely to allow developers to update their system before the official release of the version

have it and 2 years after the release of 22.04 and you don’t even have an installer for this system

whereas currently you must have the 22.04 installer

since April 4, 2022

let’s know that the version was available for developers

since July 4, 2021

and that of 24.04 and available since July 4, 2023

try the following command to update ubuntu 22.04 to ubuntu 24.04

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade

sudo reboot
sudo -i

echo “[DEFAULT]” > “/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades”

echo “Prompt=lts” >> “/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades”

do-release-upgrade –devel-release -f DistUpgradeViewNonInteractive

reboot
lsb_release -a
