Hi etcd team!

This is a follow-up to #17233.

I would like to draw your attention to this PR. This feature is very important for the SPQR project (github.com/pg-sharding/spqr), which is about PostgreSQL sharding. We store our metadata in etcd and already know how to restore shards to a specific point in time using WAL-G (github.com/wal-g/wal-g). But we need to be able to restore our metadata in the same way.

Can any member of etcd-io please leave a comment on #17233 with "/ok-to-test”?
