This morning I was asking myself, about how to do/manage the thing, if someone stole my pc, with validator on it, and we 're in phase 0 of the mainnet.
Because, correct me if I'm wrong :
you prepare an other pc, with the same validators, because it's phase 0, you cannot move funds
the thief, may power on the machine, just to see if it works, and who knows, turn it ON with a RJ45
you then have your validator on 2 differents machines, even if it's for few minutes, you re gonna be slashed...
Yep, it's a "no luck" scenario, but we know it will happend to some, sadly.
Did someone allready think about stuff like this ?
A way to secure your machine ?
Did someone propose something to the core dev of eth2.0, to migrate your validator ?
For exemple, the "stolen function", where you write the seed of the stolen validator, and it migrate your funds, minus fees, to a new validator with a new seed.
In this case, you are not exiting, and you can do something in case of stolen machines !
anyway, any idea about this ?
