Needs to consider:

will work for cases when no tiler or STAC catalog around
s3 credentials
publicly accessible URL with a pattern

Will be used for:

GTIF (to remove the workarounds and actually generate items where plausible)
polar dashboard demo for single COGs from gtif public bucket but generally should allow any credentials and any bucket
