This question's been brewing in my head the past few days, but is there any interest or desire to bring support for Heretic, Hexen and/or Strife to Woof? I feel like with Woof's sleek, user-friendly presentation, it could be a great base for ports of those games.
I'm surprised no one else has asked about this on Github (at least as far as I can tell).

Technically it's possible, sure. But there is one rather high barrier and that is demo compatibility. As you might know, Heretic is based off of Doom 1.2 and the only source port with decent demo compatibility for that version was PrBoom+. Thus, it was rather straightforward (though still a major effort) to bring Heretic support to DSDA-Doom. Not even Chocolate Doom has proper Doom 1.2 support, though, and multiple efforts to implement it came to nothing.
The other barrier is that I don't like Heretic and so my incentive to even start working on it is very low. 😉
Personally I'm OK with this port focussing on Doom only. I can recommend International Heretic/Hexen. No Boom support, but it's rather rare in mods for these titles, anyway.
