In #47 we decided to keep compatibility with PHP 7.4 for the 1.0 release, to pull onboard as many users as possible, since the release would be including a lot of new rules, and we didn't want to put additional burden on the upgrade.

We can follow-up with another bump to PHP 8.0 in the next minor.
