1 Describe the bug
'DataPlotting' object has no attribute '_filename_stub'.

2 To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to "test/howtos/bf"
  2. Run "howto_bf_003_store_plot_and_save_variables.py"
  3. Put "." on the user input for path_save

3 Expected behavior
No error.

Fresh newly installed Python 3.12 with the following dependencies:

@rizkydiprasetya Hi, I just checked this issue. I think the comment in Line 77 is not correct. Without the quote-unquote I also get the same error message. With them, they work properly, including also ".". Could you check whether it also works for you with the quote-unquote? Thank you and happy new year btw!
