Could the same practice used in Medieval manuscripts be adopted for Fihrist?
I.e. linking to a list of abbreviations in the wiki, in addition to having the info in the record for now, to avoid too many changes at once.
This could be a solution to all those (Oxford) records which mention other catalogues by means of abbreviation only.
We did discuss that the practice of abbreviations in records is very exclusive to academics in the field, however, since the acronyms are there anyway, this would be a much tidier approach.
If you want to compile such a glossary, then tell me when it has reached a useful state, I'll add links to it from the bottom of all record pages, as on the Oxford Medieval catalogue.
Could a list of abbreviations and a bibliography of works used in the "references" section of Fihrist's entries be added?
Thanks for the great work!
