Not possible to retrieve event target

There is no way to access the target the event got fired from.
event.target, event.target.target, event.currentTarget do all not return the object where a gesture has been triggered. It would be mandatory to access the target analog to accessing the target from MouseEvent.

event.target.target actually stores the target that triggered the event.
