Is this project alive or dead? #70
Comments
Well, looks like it's dead to me. Over a month with no response. Shame, as it's the only once I could get working with Ionic 3. |
That's what I'm thinking... dead. |
For me the plugin is not even working. Can't read or send or intercept SMS. Getting a permission error even though the permissions have been added in the manifest.xml Any of you guys can help? |
I think the problem is that apple and android have changed the way they allow apps to interact with SMS.
On the iPhone, go to any web page, click on the sharing icon and see if sms shows up. If it does, you can send via the social sharing plugin but that's as far as I was able to get.

Thanks but right now I'm just trying to make it work on Android. I am calling the start watch function and then registering the proper event listener but the listener never fires when SMS arrives. The phone simply doesn't even ask for permission to read SMS's! |
I'd post this in the phonegap Google group and you'll get better feedback.

can you direct me there? I'm not a member. Thanks. |
It's one of 1000's of Google groups. You have to sign in to Google, join the group, read the posting tips that Kerri Schotts posted, the ask your question.

@01abhishekjain @ppetree @k88hudson Please send your feedback in the Issues section there. |
The developer is asking for a purchase for a commercial license but the code hasn't been updated in several years AND many of these issues are going unanswered.
Is this dead or alive or do we find another solution?
