Evaluate the use of official Maven dependency-plugin as an alternate

The official Maven dependency-plugin seems to be able to do a lot that initiated the creation of this specific plugin.
We should list (and write in the Readme) if there is any feature specific to this plugin. If not, we should deprecate the whole plugin and advise the use of Maven dependency-plugin.
