I've also stopped seeing it show up on macOS 11.2.3, with Adobe Media Encoder 15.4.1. It had previously worked fine on my machine, not sure what might have changed that.
Would also like to point out what @canuckkat is still true. Looks like according to previous issues, there used to be a WebM.prm file installed (#43) but now the msi only installs the presets folders. @fnordware is the .prm file still available to download somewhere? Thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind. For those like me who do not have a 7.0 file, the installer will not add the .prm file unless this path exists: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore
The installer does not warn you of this. Thanks again @fnordware!
EDIT2: Unfortunately Media Encoder cs6 does not see the WebM option. Premier does though. I'll keep trying.
EDIT3: Finally figured this out. Even though when I installed cs6, and it asked if I wanted to only install the 64 bit apps, it still installed the 32 bit media encoder as well as the 64 bit media encoder. The 32 bit one is the one that opens by default. You have to go in to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS6 and click on the application there. WebM then shows up. Hope this helps someone else!
I've copied the .prm file to all the right places but WebM doesn't show up an an available format to render out an AE comp.
