Per-org "deploy on save" setting

I would like to enable "deploy on save" to all scratch orgs and to a couple personal developer sandboxes. However, I do not want it enabled for our shared testing sandboxes, and especially not for Production.

I wish the setting were per-org, so that I could set it once and never worry about accidentally deploying or, conversely, forgetting to deploy.

Suggested settings

Maybe something like this for default disabled but opt-in:

salesforcedx-vscode-core.push-or-deploy-on-save.enabled: false
salesforcedx-vscode-core.push-or-deploy-on-save.per-org: {
    "my-sandbox": true,
    "some-other-sandbox": true,
}

And something like this for default enabled but opt-out:

salesforcedx-vscode-core.push-or-deploy-on-save.enabled: true
salesforcedx-vscode-core.push-or-deploy-on-save.per-org: {
    "staging": false,
    "production": false,
}

Bonus points if you're allowed to have "redundant" settings saved, to document intent and protect against the default changing and suddenly getting unexpected deploys:
